Introduction to quality management

By the end of this module, participants will have mastered the key concepts relating to quality. They will understand the founding principles of the COMPAS Quality method.

        •  Quality control and quality assurance
        •  How is quality measured? Criteria, indicators, standards
        •  How is quality achieved? Critical points and key processes
        •  The two pillars of the Quality COMPAS: project management and project evaluation

Using the Quality COMPAS

By the end of this module, participants will have mastered the Quality COMPAS method. They will be able to adopt the Quality COMPAS for their projects and will understand the implications of using such a method.

        •  Introduction to the key concepts of quality management
        •  How to use the Quality COMPAS in project management mode
        •  How to use the Quality COMPAS in project evaluation mode
        •  Introduction on how to adopt the Quality COMPAS method at an institutional level

Future modules

Training for trainers

By the end of this module, participants will have the necessary teaching resources (case studies, manuals, exercises, etc.) enabling them to facilitate training courses themselves. They will also be able to manage a project with the Quality COMPAS Method, as well as acquire a wider understanding of quality management.


Quality management at institutional level:

By the end of this module, participants will be able to oversee the process of adopting the Quality COMPAS.

        •  Concepts of quality management at headquarters level
        •  Setting up and using a data management system (the Dynamic COMPAS)
        •  How tasks should be distributed and what general follow-up should there be
